About Me

My name is Marwa Saadawi, and I am a proud first-generation Egyptian-American, born and raised in Bergen County, New Jersey. My path into the world of mental health began with a passion for education and human connection. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Special Education and Psychology from Marist College (2010), followed by a Master of Science in Counseling from Fordham University (2013).

What makes my journey unique is the blend of cross-cultural and international experience I bring into the therapy room. For over a decade, I worked in Cairo, Egypt, as a lead therapist at The Wellness Hub. There, I supported children, young adults, and families, while also collaborating with schools and leading private and corporate workshops across the country. As Managing Director, I mentored and onboarded therapists, upheld ethical practices, guided peer supervision, and facilitated impactful community programs.

In 2024, I returned home to New Jersey, where I now work both privately as a licensed therapist and with Aspire NJ, in partnership with PerformCare and Bergen’s Promise. In this role, I work closely with youth and families on at-risk cases, using a wraparound approach to provide holistic care and sustainable support.

My therapeutic style is shaped by my eclectic experiences and multicultural background. I deeply value meeting clients where they are, honoring their stories, and helping them navigate challenges within family dynamics, relationships, and personal growth. I truly love working with people from all walks of life and creating a space where they can feel understood, supported, and empowered.
